Advertising disclosure: how we are paid
Bookmakers may pay us when readers open accounts through our links. Here is exactly what that can and cannot change.
Updated: 3 October 2026For: Readers in Ireland, 18+
i.
The short version
Voienexo is funded by commission from bookmakers. If you open an account through one of our links, the bookmaker may pay us. This can influence which bookmakers we feature and in what order. It does not influence the facts we report or the ratings we give. You pay nothing extra, and the bookmaker’s terms are the same whether or not you arrive through us.
ii.
How we are paid
We work with bookmakers through affiliate programmes. Our links to a bookmaker carry a tracking code that tells it the visit came from us — not who you are. Depending on the agreement, commission can be:
a one-off fee when a reader we referred opens an account and meets the bookmaker’s qualifying conditions;
a share of the net revenue the bookmaker earns from customers we referred; or
a combination of the two.
Under a revenue share, a site like ours earns more when referred customers lose more. We think you should know that. It is one of the reasons we do not publish tips, do not promote offers and repeat on every page that betting is entertainment with a real risk of loss.
We do not charge readers, sell paid reviews or accept payment for a rating.
iii.
What commission can and cannot change
It can change: which licensed bookmakers we write about first, which ones appear in a list on a given page, and the order of those lists. Lists that can be affected are labelled “Advertising”.
It cannot change: the licence details we report, the facts we take from a bookmaker’s pages, the five scores and overall stars, the “best suited for” and “think twice” lines, or the safer betting information on any page. How the ratings work is set out on How we rate bookmakers.
iv.
How advertising is marked
Lists and strips of bookmakers carry an “Advertising” label with a link to this page.
Buttons and logos that lead to a bookmaker say where they go (“Visit <Brand>”) and open the bookmaker’s Irish sports betting site in a new tab.
Every link to a bookmaker is marked in the page code with rel="sponsored", the standard way of telling search engines that a link is commercial.
Links to official bodies, help services and regulators are never sponsored and never carry tracking codes.
Our Safer betting page carries no bookmaker links or advertising at all.
v.
Who we will work with
Only bookmakers that hold a GRAI Remote Betting licence, checked on the GRAI public register (last checked 3 October 2026). We link only to a brand and Irish web address recorded for that licence, and only to sports betting pages — not to casino games, which GRAI does not yet license online.
Being licensed is a condition for appearing on the site; it is not a recommendation. A bookmaker that pays us can still score poorly.
vi.
What we don’t accept
Payment for a higher score, a review written to order or the removal of criticism.
Bookmakers approving or editing our reviews before publication.
Exclusive codes or personalised offers for our readers — we do not publish offers at all.
Advertising from operators without a GRAI remote betting licence.
vii.
Our own advertising
Voienexo may advertise its own pages, for example on Google. That is us paying for advertising, not someone paying us. If you agree to advertising cookies, Google Ads helps us measure those campaigns — see our Cookie policy.
